*NEW* Full-Day camp -- "Shakespeare's Mainstage"

“If Shakespeare be the food of summer, rhyme on, Give me excess of it!”

The Freewill Shakespeare Festival is once again bringing Summer Drama Camps to the Amphitheatre in Hawrelak Park. Working with professional actors/instructors and artists from the 2008 Summer Repertory Company, participants will explore the story, text, characters, design, stage combat and music from of the main-stage production As You like It. Their work will culminate in a weekend presentation/sharing on the main-stage for friends and family after which all will be invited to stay for refreshments and mingle with artists from the Festival. Those who wish may then stay for that afternoon's performance.

Shakespeare's Clowns: 8-10 years
Shakespeare's Heroes and Villians: 11-13 years
Shakespeare's Players: 14-16 years
Shakespeare's Mainstage: 13-18 years (previous experience recommended)

Week 1 - June 30-July 4, 2008

9 am - 4 pm: Shakespeare's Mainstage (ages 13-18)
Full-Day Camp
Presentation prior to the matinee on July 5.

Fee: $240.00

Week 2 -- July 7-11, 2008

9 am-noon: Shakespeare's Clowns (ages 8 -10)
1 pm-4 pm: Shakespeare's Heroes and Villains (ages 11-13)
Presentation/sharing prior to the Matinee on July 12th.

Fee: $140.00

Week 3 -- July 14-18, 2008

9 am-noon: Shakespeare's Heroes and Villains (ages 11-13)
1 pm-4 pm: Shakespeare's Players (ages 14 -16)
Presentation/sharing prior to the Matinee on July 19th.

Fee: 140.00

Young Adult Shakespearean Acting Program

Come out and audition for The Freewill Shakespeare Festival's exciting new program for young adults.
Auditions -- March 15th and 16th.
Rehearsal -- March 31st - April 4th, 2008, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Instructor -- Jana O'Connor
Performances -- April 17th - 27th at the Citadel Theatre's Teen's-at-the-Turn Festival
Cost -- $275.00
